Description (EN)

What is a Dispatch Teacher? While traditional instructors stay at a single school, our Dispatch Teachers go where they are needed most – stepping in to cover classes and ensure a smooth student experience at YARUKI Switch Group schools across Japan (Kids Duo, i Kids Star, and WinBe). Where will you be located? In many cases, you will work at a location for a month or two at a time, providing an essential service to a school and its students. You will be based in the Kanto region, but you must be ready to take on assignments across the country, including in Chubu, Kansai, and Tohoku. Who is this role for? This role is a great opportunity for newer teachers to gain experience with various age groups and school cultures before deciding on a long-term career path in education. It is also a great fit for experienced teachers who are looking to broaden their skills and take on new challenges. If you love cultural exchange, thrive on problem-solving, and want to experience local Japanese communities firsthand, this is the perfect role for you! ◆ WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? • ¥247,590/month (¥235,800 base salary + ¥11,790 operational allowance). • Opportunities for regular overtime pay (depending on the brand you are working with; please see below for details). • ¥100,000 contract-renewal bonus upon successful completion of your contract. • Evaluations twice per year based on performance, which can lead to raises and promotions. • Ten paid days of leave per year (after six months of employment), in addition to national Japanese holidays. • Work-related commuting costs are fully reimbursed; accommodations are provided for long-distance dispatch work (all within company policy). • Fully paid initial training, including accommodation and transportation reimbursement. • Japanese Social Security and Health Insurance provided. • Visa sponsorship and renewal support available. • Support with securing housing, opening bank accounts, and more to help you settle into life in Japan. ◆ HOW WILL YOU GROW PROFESSIONALLY? • Receive strong guidance and assistance from our friendly in-office support team as you navigate different assignments. Whether you need help finding the best train route or want classroom management tips for a tricky lesson, our team ensures you feel supported. • Join our welcoming, supportive community of dispatch teachers from a wide variety of countries and cultural backgrounds. • Experience diverse teaching environments. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced educators, observe different teaching approaches, and discover what works best for you. • YARUKI Switch Career offers exciting avenues for growth. Dispatch teachers have progressed to roles in candidate recruitment, dispatch teacher management, business operations, marketing, and more. • If you are dispatched to a school in our network that you really love, there may be opportunities to transfer and stay at that specific location on an ongoing basis. ◆ WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE? Dispatch Teachers will initially receive comprehensive training for one of WinBe, Kids Duo, or i Kids Star. Over time, many teachers receive training in multiple brands. You will provide coverage at both directly managed (owned by YARUKI Switch Group) and franchise schools (run by independent owners). Some job details may vary from location to location. A standard Dispatch Teacher shift is 7 hours and 15 minutes (not including a 45-minute break). When working for brands with longer shifts, overtime will be paid. WinBe (English conversation school) • Age group: 3 to 12 years old • Class size: Up to 6 students • Working shift: 7 hours and 15 minutes of work with a 45-minute break (total commitment of 8 hours). Tuesday to Friday shifts are from 12:00 to 20:00, 12:30 to 20:30, or 13:00 to 21:00, and Saturday shifts are 10:00 to 18:00. Kids Duo (After-school program) • Age group: 3 to 12 years old • Class size: 30+ students • Working shift: 8 hours of work with a 1-hour break (a total commitment of 9 hours). Shifts generally occur between 9:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Friday. A typical shift is from 11:00 to 20:00. i Kids Star (Bilingual kindergarten) • Age group: 2 to 6 years old • Class size: Up to 32 students • Working shift: 8 hours of work with a 1-hour break (a total commitment of 9 hours). A typical shift is from 8:30 to 17:30. ◆ WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for teachers who meet the following criteria: • Have native-level English proficiency.* • Have at least a 2-Year Associate's Degree OR a Valid Japanese Working Visa. • Are independent, creatively minded, and ready to innovate and adapt. • Are team-oriented, passionate, enthusiastic, and creative when teaching children. • Have a strong sense of professionalism and are self-motivated. • Have prior experience working with children. *Our curriculum emphasizes pronunciation and phonics practice. While we welcome English speakers from a variety of countries with varying dialects and accents, we ask that you are able to effectively teach and express these concepts in a phonetically natural English environment. Only applicants who are able to meet the highest standards of fluency will be considered. ◆ HOW SHOULD I APPLY? Please include the following information in your cover letter: • Available starting date • Preferred location(s) • Closest train station to home (if living in Japan) • Availability for an online interview during the next two weeks (in Japan Standard Time) Note: Interviews are typically conducted Monday–Friday, between 10:00 and 18:00 JST. Application Rules: • We accept only one application per candidate within a six-month period. If you are interested in multiple positions with YARUKI Switch Career/YARUKI Switch Group, please indicate this in your single application. • While we sincerely appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
