A little more about your role…

As Plot Manager you will lead the day-to-day management of plot allocation and boundary control on the Defra Client Estate at Weybridge. You will provide the coordination, governance and technical oversight needed to support clear estate planning decisions, ensuring plot information is accurate, agreed and consistently reflected in drawings, records and governance materials.
Working with project teams, client representatives, design and assurance colleagues, you will manage plot requests, assess proposed changes, identify constraints and prepare evidence-based recommendations for approval through the appropriate routes.
You will join the Planning Function Team and require strong organisation, stakeholder management and technical coordination skills, with the ability to engage confidently across multiple teams, manage competing views and translate estate and project requirements into clear, controlled plot outputs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the plot allocation process, including plot requests, boundary changes, cancellations and associated records.
  • Chair regular coordination meetings, maintain action logs and ensure decisions, conditions and next steps are clearly recorded.
  • Coordinate inputs from project teams, technical workstreams and estate stakeholders to support robust plot recommendations.
  • Review proposed plot changes, identify planning, technical and operational implications, and escalate issues where required.
  • Prepare materials for governance review, including plot drawings, recommendation packs and updates for relevant forums.
  • Maintain accurate plot information in coordination with the Estate Digitisation Function and ensure updates are reflected in drawings and publications.
  • Support alignment between plot allocation, programme requirements, estate strategy and assurance processes.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • Relevant architectural, planning or technical qualification, such as RIBA/ARB Architect or CIAT Architectural Technician.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and BIM processes.
  • Experience in a similar role, with experience in estate planning, technical coordination or design management, ideally within a complex public sector or regulated environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, structured and proactive approach, with confidence working independently and as part of a wider team.
