The Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability team oversees SumUp's global sustainability work, including ESG compliance, our 1% for the Planet pledge, corporate social responsibility, and our carbon footprint calculations. You’ll play a central role in helping the team prepare for reporting requirements and improve processes across these working areas. What you'll do

  • Support preparation for local reporting standards (e.g. EU’s Corporate Social Responsibility Directive) by tracking reporting requirements, facilitating the remediation of open reporting gaps, and helping draft sustainability reports
  • Analyze the annual greenhouse gas emissions, including data sources, methodology and supporting evidence
  • Keep an overview of active donation partners, including due diligence status, next actions and documentation, and support budgeting and donation tracking
  • Support with diversity and inclusion activities such as surveys, data analysis, and vendor management.

What you'll bring

  • Enrolment in a Master's or PhD programme in sustainability, finance, controlling, or similar.
  • Strong data and analytical skills; close eye for detail when working with data and documentation.
  • Confidence using spreadsheets and comfort working across different reporting formats.
  • AI fluency, with hands-on experience using LLMs and building agents to produce high-quality outputs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate tasks, follow up with colleagues across teams, and keep projects moving towards clear goals.
  • Quick to learn new tools and systems, with a proactive and practical approach.
