Description (EN)

Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money.
Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.

Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.
For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission and what we offer.

We’re looking for an experienced operations professional who understands financial systems, leads complex improvements and helps others deliver. You’ll tackle our most challenging operational problems, bring teams together and take responsibility for making solutions work in practice.

This is a senior, hands-on role combining leadership, coaching and delivery. You’ll lead complex projects, develop other specialists and take on direct people management responsibilities.

What you’ll do

  • Set priorities for your area. Identify operational risks, customer problems and inefficient processes. Turn unclear requirements into a clear improvement plan, with owners and measurable goals.

  • Lead complex projects across teams. Work with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Compliance and Operations from initial investigation through testing, launch and ongoing improvement.

  • Build and improve processes and controls. Design new processes and controls from scratch and strengthen existing ones. Be comfortable starting with a blank canvas, working through ambiguity and turning unclear requirements into practical solutions that teams can run reliably.

  • Solve problems at their source. Investigate complex issues, use data to assess solutions and introduce tools or automation that remove recurring manual work.

  • Lead and develop others. Coach specialists, resolve blockers and influence senior stakeholders. Make clear recommendations when delivery timelines, customer needs and operational risks compete.

What you’ll bring

Operations experience

You’ve independently delivered complex operational improvements involving several teams. You can explain the decisions you owned and show measurable results after launch, such as fewer errors, lower costs or better customer outcomes.

You’re comfortable investigating problems using SQL and reporting tools, understanding technical workflows and designing solutions with engineers. You use AI and automation where they help, and validate the results.

Management or leadership experience

You’ve led complex projects, developed specialists or managed a team. You can set direction without a complete brief, manage competing priorities and bring people together without relying on formal authority.

You give clear feedback, address delivery problems and help colleagues take greater ownership. You’re willing to investigate the detail yourself as well as guide others.

Fintech or payments experience

You’ve worked in Fintech / financial services operations and understand how money moves through systems, payment networks and external providers.

You have practical experience with controls, reconciliation, transaction failures or exception handling. You can balance customer experience and efficiency with regulatory requirements and operational risk.

Previous investment-product experience is helpful, but not essential.

Visa sponsorship available

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
