Description (EN)

A.P. Moller-Maersk is an integrated logistics company working to connect and simplify global trade. As we accelerate the digitalization of our fleet and assets, connectivity and onboard infrastructure have become critical enablers for safer, smarter, and more sustainable operations

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Fleet Digital Infrastructure & Connectivity Enablement team within Fleet Management and Technology.

In this role, you will help deliver the digital infrastructure and connectivity solutions that enable a more connected, efficient, and future-ready fleet. Working at the intersection of maritime operations, technology, automation, and project delivery, you will lead initiatives that support onboard digital services, operational performance, and decarbonization.

About the role

Connecting vessels, sensors, devices, and systems is fundamental to the connected fleet of the future. Our team enables the infrastructure behind vessel connectivity, onboard data collection, remote services, IoT solutions, and operational technologies across our global fleet.

You will coordinate technical initiatives from proof-of-concept through large-scale deployment, working closely with vessel owners, technical managers, onboard crews, shipyards, technology vendors, and internal stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is structured, proactive, and collaborative, and who enjoys bringing people, technology, and processes together to deliver complex initiatives successfully.

We offer

You will join an experienced, international team working across:

  • Vessel connectivity, including satellite and cellular communications
  • Digital infrastructure onboard vessels
  • IoT devices, sensors, and data acquisition systems
  • Remote monitoring and operational technology solutions
  • Energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives
  • Vessel communication and IT platforms
  • Future connectivity standards and digital vessel capabilities

You will have the opportunity to work with innovative technologies shaping the digital transformation of shipping, collaborate across technology and fleet operations, and influence how future vessel infrastructure and connectivity solutions are designed and deployed.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple vessel technology implementation projects from initiation through deployment.
  • Drive project planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Coordinate activities across vessel owners, technical managers, vendors, shipyards, and internal stakeholders.
  • Translate operational and business requirements into clear technical scopes and implementation plans.
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices and ensure they are incorporated into future deployments.
  • Contribute to the long-term roadmap for vessel digital infrastructure and connectivity enablement.

Who we are looking for

You are a structured and delivery-focused professional who is comfortable working in a complex technical environment with multiple stakeholders.

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, telecommunications, marine engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience managing technical projects, programs, or product implementations.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, automation systems, telecommunications, vessel systems, or industrial infrastructure.
  • The ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong focus on team success and value creation.

Experience from maritime, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or technology environments is considered an advantage.
