🇦🇺 Working in Australia
Possible country route: Skills in Demand (subclass 482). The employer-sponsored Skills in Demand route has stream, nomination, occupation and applicant requirements. It replaced the earlier TSS route for new applications.
Processing differs by stream and application circumstances. Check the current Home Affairs processing-time tool; employer nomination adds its own steps.
What to check before applying
- Confirm the sponsor and stream. Ask which 482 stream and occupation the employer intends to nominate.
- Check current requirements. Review qualifications, English, salary and any skills assessment on Home Affairs.
- Coordinate nomination and application. Keep the employer nomination and applicant visa steps distinct.
Reviewed 2026-10-14. Country routes are context, not a confirmation that this vacancy or your passport qualifies.
