More about this

In these Gulf countries the employer normally applies for the work visa and residence permit. This is how hiring works there, not an offer written in the posting, and it applies only to these locations.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of Quantity Surveying experience in tunnel and infrastructure projects, preferably on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong multidisciplinary MEP knowledge covering:
    • HVAC Systems
    • Fire Fighting Systems

    • Telecommunications
    • SCADA Systems
    • Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewerage, Stormwater, and Irrigation Networks.
  • Proven experience in quantity take-off, quantity verification, remeasurement, and assessment of scope changes based on approved drawings.
  • Extensive experience in reviewing and certifying interim payment applications and assessing variations under both Lump Sum and Re-measurable contracts.
  • Sound understanding of BOQ descriptions, Contract Preambles, and CESMM4 measurement principles.
  • Practical hands-on experience in MEP Quantity Surveying and post-contract commercial management activities is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate contractor submissions, measurements, payment certificates, variation orders, and claims for infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience working on construction supervision, PMC, or infrastructure consultancy projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.
  • Membership of a recognized professional body such as RICS or equivalent will be considered an advantage.

Essential Requirement: Given the multidisciplinary nature of the project, candidates must possess strong practical experience in MEP quantity surveying, commercial administration, payment certification, variation assessment, and post-contract cost management within large-scale infrastructure and tunnel projects.
