Working in Australia
Possible country route: Skills in Demand (subclass 482). The employer-sponsored Skills in Demand route has stream, nomination, occupation and applicant requirements. It replaced the earlier TSS route for new applications.
Processing differs by stream and application circumstances. Check the current Home Affairs processing-time tool; employer nomination adds its own steps.
What to check before applying
- Confirm the sponsor and stream. Ask which 482 stream and occupation the employer intends to nominate.
- Check current requirements. Review qualifications, English, salary and any skills assessment on Home Affairs.
- Coordinate nomination and application. Keep the employer nomination and applicant visa steps distinct.
Reviewed 2026-10-14. Country routes are context, not a confirmation that this vacancy or your passport qualifies.

- Develop communications strategies and briefs that align audiences, messaging, channels and desired outcomes.
- Collaborate across the national Communications team to ensure consistent messaging, coordinated activity and effective delivery.
- Measure communications effectiveness and use insights to strengthen future activity.
Flexibility outside standard business hours is required when significant issues arise or media monitoring demands it.
About you

You’ll bring:
- Significant experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, public relations or issues management.
- Proven experience advising senior leaders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

- Strong judgement, collaboration skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, business or a related discipline.
Experience in healthcare or another complex, highly regulated organisation will be highly regarded.
Why join Ramsay?
Join a national Communications team where you can influence important conversations, work closely with senior leaders and help shape how one of Australia’s leading healthcare organisations is understood.
