About the employer

WSPPosted on the employer’s careers page · emit.fa.ca3.oraclecloud.comLMIA employer (CA) — employer-level; what this means

Working in Canada

Possible country route: Employer-specific work permit. A job offer is usually needed for an employer-specific permit. The employer may need an LMIA or an exemption. Express Entry permanent residence is a separate process.

IRCC times depend on the work-permit category and application country. Use the live processing-time tool; employer LMIA processing, if needed, is separate.

What to check before applying
  1. Confirm permit and employer steps. Ask whether an LMIA or exemption applies to the offer.
  2. Check the application country. Use IRCC requirements and the current processing-time tool.
  3. Apply for the correct permit. A job offer alone does not authorise work or entry.

The Opportunity

Build the Future with Us

Bring your supplier quality leadership to complex, highly regulated projects where manufacturing excellence, nuclear safety, and dependable delivery matter. You will provide independent oversight across the supplier lifecycle, helping ensure engineered components meet rigorous client, regulatory, code, and quality program requirements.

Your Impact

You will strengthen supplier performance and protect project outcomes through hands-on supplier quality leadership:

  • Provide independent oversight of supplier and contractor manufacturing, welding, inspection, testing, and quality assurance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, applicable codes and standards, regulatory obligations, and approved quality programs.

  • Review and monitor quality assurance programs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, manufacturing controls, hold points, and witness points.

  • Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process verification, final acceptance inspections, manufacturing records, inspection reports, and turnover packages.

  • Drive timely disposition and effective closure of nonconformances, deviations, and quality issues, including corrective and preventive actions.

  • Lead structured root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce defects, rework, schedule impacts, and recurring issues.

  • Benchmark industry best practices and lessons learned to strengthen supplier quality performance across projects.

  • Mentor inspectors and project teams while promoting a strong culture of quality, technical rigour, and nuclear safety.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Welding, Quality, or a related engineering discipline; a Professional Engineering licence is an asset.

  • 12 to 20 years of progressive, hands-on experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspection, or manufacturing oversight within nuclear, power generation, pressure vessel, heavy industrial manufacturing, aerospace, or oil and gas environments.

  • Demonstrated oversight of welding, fabrication, inspection, and testing for complex engineered components, including WPS, PQR/WPQR, welder performance qualifications, and welding inspection requirements.

  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME Section III, ASME Section IX, CSA N285, CSA N299, CSA W47.1, CSA W59, or equivalent nuclear and pressure-boundary fabrication standards.

  • Practical familiarity with VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT nondestructive examination methods, together with ITPs, hold points, witness points, quality documentation packages, and manufacturing records.

  • Proven experience leading supplier audits, surveillance programs, quality assessments, root cause analysis, CAPA management, and corrective action initiatives.

  • Experience leading and developing technical teams, quality inspectors, or welding inspection personnel; CWB Level 2 or 3, AWS CWI, CGSB NDE, CQE, or equivalent certifications are strong assets.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent client interests in manufacturing environments; experience supporting nuclear utilities, suppliers, reactor projects, pressure-retaining components, or nuclear quality programs is highly desirable.
