Description (EN)

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to help establish and maintain the regulatory, permitting, licensing, and operational-compliance processes required to support the company’s growth.

Working within Operations, you will coordinate compliance activities across facilities, construction, manufacturing, testing, hazardous materials, suppliers, and launch operations. You will work closely with technical teams and German authorities to ensure that requirements are understood, actions are tracked, and evidence is maintained.

Fluent German and proven experience working with German authorities are essential.

About us

We’re a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications.

We are already launching suborbital and ballistic rockets on a regular basis, have just crossed €10m in revenue for our first operating year and are applying our knowledge toward the development of an orbital rocket.

We are working hard to build something truly spectacular.

To thrive here you will need to be comfortable working at pace, with the autonomy to make decisions and execute on them quickly. If you’re excited by hard technical challenges and want a role where you will make a real difference each day to the future of the company, we may be the place for you.

At our company, job titles and career progression are earned, not determined by years of experience alone. They reflect the responsibility you take on and the dedication you bring to each project. If you’re ready to rise to the challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the company’s operational compliance register, obligations, permits, licences, approvals, and renewal requirements.

  • Coordinate submissions, inspections, meetings, actions, and correspondence with German authorities and regulatory bodies.

  • Work with technical and operational teams to interpret requirements and convert them into practical processes and evidence.

  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, records, reports, registers, and audit trails.

  • Track compliance risks, gaps, corrective actions, changes, and dependencies across company activities.

  • Support internal reviews, external audits, inspections, project approvals, and operational-readiness activities.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, operational governance, HSE compliance, or a similar role within a technical or industrial environment.

  • Experience working directly with German authorities, regulators, inspectors, licensing bodies, or other public institutions.

  • Fluent German and strong professional English, with the ability to manage clear written and verbal communication.

  • Strong organisational skills and experience managing multiple requirements, actions, deadlines, and stakeholders.

  • The ability to understand technical information and work effectively with engineers, operations teams, contractors, and external specialists.

  • A structured, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to building compliance systems in a fast-moving organisation.

Desirable experience

  • Aerospace, space, defence, rocketry, propulsion, chemical processing, construction, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.

  • German permitting, environmental, occupational-safety, construction, explosives, hazardous-materials, or industrial-compliance processes.

  • Experience with audits, inspections, licensing, regulatory submissions, corrective actions, and evidence management.

  • Experience supporting facilities, test operations, supply chains, contractors, or technical projects.

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience in law, engineering, compliance, business, environmental management, or a related discipline.

Benefits and important information:

  • We offer top-decile compensation packages, bonuses and meaningful equity, to attract exceptional aerospace talent.

  • Every employee is awarded stock options in the company, you will directly benefit from your own hard work and success.

  • Comprehensive relocation support including flights, shipping and visas.

  • Lunch, dinner and drinks provided everyday

  • Free access to shared company housing

Please note, we are a fast paced, hyper-scaling startup. You will need to be comfortable working extended hours with high levels of autonomy, ownership, and flexibility, with contracts structured around a 48-hour working week.

We are committed to building an equitable and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, has equal access to opportunity, and can thrive. We welcome different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences—and believe our differences make us stronger.
