Working in Singapore
Possible country route: Employment Pass. An employer or employment agent applies. Salary, qualifications and the COMPASS framework may apply; an advertised relocation perk is not approval.
Online Employment Pass applications are processed or receive an update within 10 business days. Extra checks can extend this; pass issuance is a separate step.
What to check before applying
- Ask the employer to assess eligibility. Check current salary and COMPASS requirements on MOM.
- Employer submits the application. Confirm required documents and any recruitment advertising obligations.
- Wait for in-principle approval. Follow entry and pass issuance instructions rather than assuming the application permits work.
Reviewed 2026-10-14. Country routes are context, not a confirmation that this vacancy or your passport qualifies.

Lead the planning team responsible for stowage operations across Intra Asia services. You will optimise vessel capacity, cargo intake, crane intensity and asset utilisation while maintaining safe, compliant operations and positive customer outcomes.
We offer
At Maersk, we believe in the power of diversity, collaboration, and continuous learning and we work hard to ensure that the people in our organisation reflect and understand the customers we exist to serve.

Key responsibilities
• Lead team performance and deliver safe, secure and optimised stowage plans that improve capacity utilisation and crane productivity.
• Monitor vessel capacity, intake and utilisation, partnering with Ocean Fulfilment, Deployment and Network teams on vessel deployment.
• Collaborate with regional operations, Ocean Network Product, Revenue Ocean Management, Global Execution and terminal operators to improve service delivery.
• Identify operational risks early and coordinate preventive or mitigating actions.
• Manage first-level escalations and contingencies, ensuring timely information flow to the team and Regional Stowage Manager.
• Build an engaging working environment and support individual development and capability growth.
• Plan resources, rosters and leave to ensure effective team deployment and business continuity.
• Drive operational excellence through structural solutions, SOP improvements, change management and adoption of new standards and technology.
• Maintain practical stowage-planning capability and stay current on relevant processes, policies and standards.
We’re looking for
• Strong knowledge of the Intra Asia network and its service and cargo characteristics.
• Considerable hands-on stowage planning experience.
• Proven people leadership, coaching and communication capability.
• Sound judgement in operational problem-solving, decision-making, escalation and contingency management.
• An analytical and well-organised approach, with the ability to manage competing operational priorities.
• A collaborative, curious and accountable mindset, with the confidence to challenge established ways of working.
• Eligible to work in the role location.
