Description (EN)
Amazon Freight EU runs across LTL, FTL, and Intermodal ship-modes and product org in this business delivers tech roadmap that helps delivers strategy for growth, profitability and shipper experience. This role is the single threaded owner for product execution in the AF EU product org. Product managers build the roadmap and this role ensures effective delivery of that roadmap. It owns the OP1/OP2 roadmap and short-term cycle plans across dependent tech teams like ASCS Tech, MMPO, Middle Mile Research Science, Relay, Relay Yards, Sort Tech, and SWA. The work involves pulling those teams' dependencies onto one aligned plan, manage the trade-offs when their priorities and timelines collide, and drive sequencing, unblocking, and escalation week over week.
Landing AF EU priorities against those teams' own roadmaps requires someone who builds the mechanisms (planning cadences, prioritisation forums, escalation paths) and secures senior leadership sponsorship to hold commitments. This role drives profit improvements of 10s of millions of euros for the business through product launches and enhancements.
Key job responsibilities
Own the AF EU product and program roadmap across LTL, FTL, and Intermodal, and turn OP1/OP2 strategy into delivered outcomes
Own the OP1/OP2 and cycle plans roadmap end to end across the seven dependent tech teams, bringing their dependencies onto a single aligned plan
Set priorities across the portfolio and resolve trade-offs when teams' priorities and timelines collide
Identify dependencies and risks before they surface in any system, and drive sequencing, unblocking, and escalation week over week
Build and run the mechanisms (planning cadences, prioritisation forums, escalation paths) that keep the roadmap on track
Secure leadership sponsorship and alignment to land AF EU priorities against competing roadmaps in other orgs
Act as the single owner accountable for the roadmap landing as planned
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering and business teams experience
- Experience owning a roadmap end to end across multiple teams that do not report into you
- Experience translating annual planning (e.g. OP1/OP2) into a sequenced, prioritised delivery plan
- Experience in transportation or supply chain within a high-volume logistics, manufacturing or engineering environment
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, quality, risk and critical-path management experience
- Experience building mechanisms (planning cadences, prioritisation forums, escalation paths) that coordinate delivery across teams
- Experience influencing senior (L7/L8) stakeholders to align competing roadmaps
