The Senior Manager - Environmental Noise provides strategic leadership for the Environmental Noise Branch, overseeing the delivery of high-level technical expertise and best practice regulatory guidance. As the department’s head of discipline, the role brings extensive subject matter expertise and strong leadership capability, directing contemporary, evidence based environmental acoustic science and ensuring integration with broader statutory processes.
As a recognised technical expert, you will represent the Branch across government and external forums, build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and prepare high level reports, briefings and publications for ministerial, corporate and academic purposes. You will ensure effective systems, processes and quality assurance mechanisms are in place to support efficient program delivery and contemporary regulatory practice.
A key responsibility includes leading workforce capability development, coaching and mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and technical excellence. Additional duties may be assigned in line with departmental requirements and the scope of the position.
The position is based in Perth; however, suitably qualified applicants from regional Western Australia, interstate and New Zealand are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.
