John Flynn Private Hospital is seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Barista to join our hospitality team on a casual basis.

The successful candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering great coffee and exceptional service.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing high-quality coffee, tea and other beverages

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service

• Taking orders and processing payments accurately

• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming café environment

• Restocking supplies and assisting with general café duties

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures

• Working collaboratively with the wider hospitality team

Essential Criteria 

• Previous barista or café experience

• Confident operating a commercial coffee machine

• Has a genuine passion for quality coffee and customer service

• Is reliable, punctual and well presented

• Can work efficiently during busy periods

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Works well as part of a team 

• Understands the importance of hygiene and food safety in a healthcare environment

• Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare or high-volume hospitality environment will be highly regarded, but is not essential
