Tailings Storage Facility (TSF)
Need a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Metallurgy or Mining Engineering.
10 + Years in mining operations, in TSF management, construction or water management. Proficiency in Geotechnical engineering principles, water balance modeling and construction management.

Role: Tailings Storage Facility Superintendent (TSF)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Direct daily TSF operations, including monitoring tailings deposition, decant return, and water balance management.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure TSF operations adhere to environmental regulations, legal requirements, and international standards (e.g., GISTM, ANCOLD).
- Technical Oversight: Collaborate with the Engineer of Record (EoR) and consultants, reviewing geotechnical performance and monitoring data for anomalies.
- Construction and Maintenance: Oversee TSF embankment construction, raising, and construction quality control/assurance (CQA).
- Risk Management: Establish and manage the TSF risk register, developing mitigation strategies to ensure long-term stability.
- Reporting and Planning: Prepare daily/monthly reports, manage operational/capital budgets, and develop life-of-mine (LOM) deposition plans
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Mining Engineering.
- 10+ years in mining operations, specifically in TSF management, construction, or water management.
- Proficiency in geotechnical engineering principles, water balance modeling, and construction quality management.
- Strong team management, contractor management, and communication skills.
- Physically demanding, involving site inspections in various weather conditions.
