About the employer

Working in Canada

Possible country route: Employer-specific work permit. A job offer is usually needed for an employer-specific permit. The employer may need an LMIA or an exemption. Express Entry permanent residence is a separate process.

IRCC times depend on the work-permit category and application country. Use the live processing-time tool; employer LMIA processing, if needed, is separate.

What to check before applying
  1. Confirm permit and employer steps. Ask whether an LMIA or exemption applies to the offer.
  2. Check the application country. Use IRCC requirements and the current processing-time tool.
  3. Apply for the correct permit. A job offer alone does not authorise work or entry.

Your role

  • Support day-to-day cost and schedule control activities, including budget tracking, forecast updates, schedule progress updates, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain project data in EcoSys and Primavera P6, ensuring alignment between cost, schedule, WBS, control accounts, and reporting structures.
  • Monitor cost and schedule performance, identify trends or deviations, and support corrective action planning with project teams.
  • Support change management by assessing cost and schedule impacts, updating forecasts, and maintaining project control logs.
  • Perform administrative project controls tasks, including maintaining trackers, updating logs, organizing supporting documentation, and following up on required inputs from project stakeholders.
  • Track project data across cost, schedule, change, risk, and estimating inputs to help ensure completeness, consistency, and timely updates.
  • Prepare and update project cost reports, schedule reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for project teams and leadership.
  • Analyze cost and schedule data to support earned value reporting, forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, and project performance reviews.
  • Compare data from multiple sources, including EcoSys, Primavera P6, spreadsheets, and project reports, to identify discrepancies, validate information, and support data quality improvements.
  • Maintain and update reporting trackers, action registers, status logs, and other administrative project controls tools used to support regular reporting cycles.
  • Work closely with project managers, cost analysts, schedulers, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to support project execution.

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost control, scheduling, or project performance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and cost management tools such as EcoSys.
  • Experience supporting active projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, progress measurement, variance analysis, and earned value management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on large-scale engineering, construction, nuclear, infrastructure, or similar project environments.
