Working in Australia

Possible country route: Skills in Demand (subclass 482). The employer-sponsored Skills in Demand route has stream, nomination, occupation and applicant requirements. It replaced the earlier TSS route for new applications.

Processing differs by stream and application circumstances. Check the current Home Affairs processing-time tool; employer nomination adds its own steps.

What to check before applying
  1. Confirm the sponsor and stream. Ask which 482 stream and occupation the employer intends to nominate.
  2. Check current requirements. Review qualifications, English, salary and any skills assessment on Home Affairs.
  3. Coordinate nomination and application. Keep the employer nomination and applicant visa steps distinct.

Please note that this role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll lead the technical support and optimisation of Ramsay’s Workday platform, ensuring system stability, performance, and continuous improvement. Key accountabilities include:

  • Acting as the primary escalation point for complex Workday technical issues across HCM, integrations, and security configurations.
  • Partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to resolve system issues and support business-critical processes.
  • Managing Workday integrations using tools such as Workday Studio and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
  • Overseeing system configuration, enhancements, testing, and deployment of updates and releases.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, support guides, and knowledge base resources.
  • Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
  • Liaising with Workday support, vendors, and external consultants to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system usability, automation, and end-user experience.
  • Staying current with Workday releases, roadmap updates, and HR technology trends to identify innovation opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

You are a technically strong and collaborative leader with deep Workday expertise and the ability to translate complex system challenges into practical, business-focused solutions.

  • Extensive experience in Workday technical support, administration, or implementation.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Workday Technical Lead or similar leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday configuration, troubleshooting, and integrations.
  • Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, security configuration, and data management.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and how they integrate within Workday HCM.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, testing cycles, and production issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Workday certification highly regarded.
  • Experience in a technical support lead role or with HR systems and platforms desirable.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security principles preferred.
  • Additional IT or systems-related certifications highly regarded.
  • Exposure to emerging HR technologies and Workday integrations advantageous.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning and analytics tools beneficial.

What We Offer

  • A competitive remuneration package reflecting your technical leadership expertise, supported by a comprehensive suite of benefits that promote wellbeing and flexibility.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression within Australia’s largest private healthcare provider.
  • Exposure to a large-scale Workday environment with complex integrations and enterprise-wide impact.
  • Access to an exclusive corporate benefits program with discounts and privileges across leading national and global brands.
