Working in United States

Possible country route: H-1B / other employer-petition routes. H-1B normally starts with an employer petition for a qualifying specialty occupation. Cap-subject cases also have registration and selection requirements; other routes differ.

Registration, petition and consular stages differ. Selection is not guaranteed and premium petition processing is not an end-to-end visa timeline.

What to check before applying
  1. Confirm the intended route. Ask whether the employer will petition and whether the position is cap-exempt.
  2. Check petition requirements. Use USCIS instructions for the applicable category and cap process.
  3. Coordinate consular and entry steps. An approved petition and a work-authorised start date are different milestones.

Description (EN)

At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

The Central TPM team drives Lyft’s highest-impact product and technology initiatives from concept to launch. Central TPMs are technically strong program leaders who operate from a product and engineering point of view and bridge the gap to other functions, such as comms, marketing, BD, support, and external partners, ensuring each is a core partner in the program.

They are both strategic and tactical, and they do what it takes to deliver top-priority programs that have a material impact on the business, from new product launches to acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Co-own program strategy with Product and Engineering, and influence company strategy, technical architecture, and roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Lyft’s top-priority cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch, with clear goals, milestones, and definition of done.
  • Develop and execute integration roadmaps, strategies, and playbooks for acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
  • Define how the program runs, including roles and decision rights, escalation paths, and communication plan, and hold workstream owners accountable.
  • Anticipate risks early, drive mitigation plans, and aggressively resolve systemic issues blocking delivery.
  • Communicate with transparency at every level, from engineers to the C-suite, sharing progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly and directly.
  • Present data-backed options to decision makers and drive decisions to closure.
  • Contribute to team health by building delivery best practices, mentoring other TPMs, and supporting recruiting and onboarding.

Experience

  • 7+ years in Technical Program Management or a TPM/PM hybrid role, including leading large, highly cross-functional programs.
  • A background in software engineering, systems engineering, or data science, strong enough to go deep with engineers and product leadership.
  • Experience delivering programs on large-scale production systems.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in significant ambiguity, with only high-level direction.
  • Track record of shaping strategy and roadmaps, with strong dependency and risk management.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and build alignment in a matrixed environment without formal authority.
  • Experience bridging product and engineering with business functions, such as in acquisitions, partnerships, or go-to-market launches, is a strong plus.

Benefits:

  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
  • Mental health benefits
  • Family building benefits
  • Child care and pet benefits
  • 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
  • Subsidized commuter benefits
  • Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
