[Position Overview] CGK is seeking an experienced teacher for our IB PYP preschool program serving children aged 2 to 5, for the 2027 school year. Classroom assignments and the start date will be discussed during selection. This position is suited to an educator who is professionally minded, reflective in practice, and committed to inquiry-based early childhood education within the IB framework. We place particular importance on prior IB PYP experience or a strong understanding of IB philosophy, as this role plays a key part in establishing the foundation of our students’ learning journey. [Key Responsibilities] The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework. Teachers are expected to foster inquiry, student agency, and social-emotional development in early learners. Preschool teachers work collaboratively with an international teaching team and bilingual, licensed Japanese nursery teachers to ensure the safety, well-being, and holistic development of each child. Teachers are also expected to actively participate in curriculum development, reflection, and school-wide improvement initiatives. [Type of Employment] Full-time (fixed-term contract) [Salary] - From JPY 340,000 per month for candidates with at least three years of relevant experience. - Salary and responsibilities depend on experience and assignment. - Salary may be lower during the approximately six-month probationary period. Working times and shifts vary by assignment. - All workdays include a one-hour break and preparation time. - Any overtime work will be paid. - There will be occasional Saturday or Sunday workdays for events.
