Ongoing Due Diligence Analyst

The role, in one line

You will keep Payhawk’s client database accurate and current through periodic reviews and ongoing PEP and sanctions screening, making clear, risk-based decisions on every case.

What you will own

• Run periodic reviews of existing clients, both risk-based and ad hoc, so the client database stays up to date.
• Review ongoing PEP and sanctions screening alerts, and decide whether each one is a true match or a false positive.
• Analyse client transaction behaviour as part of each review.
• Work through complex ownership and control structures to identify the individuals and entities that need screening.
• Make risk-based decisions on your cases, and escalate the ones that need it.
• Document your reasoning clearly, so every decision can be audited.

What you will need

Must-have

• At least 2 years of experience in a compliance, KYB or financial crime role.
• Hands-on experience with PEP and sanctions screening.
• Confidence working through complex corporate structures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A risk-based mindset.
• The ability to make decisions and stand behind them.
• A proactive attitude.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in transaction monitoring.
