The hotel has been part of the Marriott International family since 2021.

Located right in the heart of Berlin, between Ku’Damm and the Brandenburg Gate, the hotel offers 500 guest rooms and suites, as well as meeting and conference rooms that can accommodate up to 2,500 people, providing ample space for a wide variety of events. It also features two restaurants and a bar for culinary experiences, as well as an exclusive spa and wellness area.

• You are the primary point of contact for our guests in the events department and lead the team
• Planning, managing, and monitoring workflows as well as material requirements throughout the banquet department
• You successfully achieve set goals and stay within budget through innovation
• You maintain an overview of orders and costs
• Accurate billing for events
• Accurate shift and vacation scheduling for your team comes easily to you
• You actively support us with creative ideas and the development of strategies to optimize profits as we strive to become Berlin’s most successful event hotel
• You work side by side with our Assistant F&B Director and Executive Chef
• You work independently and ensure the well-being and professional development of your team
• You maintain close collaboration and communication with the kitchen and convention sales teams in the spirit of “OneTeam-OneDream”
• Preparation and organization are half the battle, so you and your team are pros at mise-en-place and always adhere to HACCP hygiene regulations
• You enjoy training and evaluating new employees and apprentices
• You conduct interviews to find new talent for your team
• You actively participate in department meetings, function sheet meetings, and other related gatherings
• When handling guest complaints, you maintain a clear overview and communicate confidently with our guests

 

SHOW US YOUR TALENTS!

 

• Completed training in hotel and restaurant management or as a hospitality professional is required
• Alternatively, a degree in hotel and tourism management or culinary management
• Outstanding leadership experience, ideally in upscale dining
• Substantial banquet experience at a venue of similar size is a plus
• A warm, authentic, and outgoing personality
• Engaging communication and presentation skills in German and English; knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus
• Flexibility and an impressive commitment to quality
• An organized and structured approach to work with an eye for detail
• Experience with Micros point-of-sale systems is a plus
