Client Executive – Water | Victoria
Help shape the next chapter of our Water business in Victoria
This is an opportunity for a well-connected, commercially minded Water professional to play a pivotal role in how WSP engages with the Victorian market.
As our Client Executive - Victoria, Water, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy in Victoria, strengthening relationships with major Water clients, identifying emerging opportunities and leading the pursuit of some of the sector’s most significant projects.
This isn’t a traditional people leadership role. Your influence will come through clients, market intelligence, strategy and work winning. You’ll bring together the right technical, project and commercial expertise from across WSP to position our business for success. Reporting to the Director, Clients & Growth – Water, you’ll work closely with our Water leadership, Key Account Managers, technical leaders and specialists across the broader WSP business.
What you’ll do
At the heart of this position is understanding where the Victorian Water market is heading, what matters to our clients and how WSP can respond. You’ll:
About you
You’ll already understand how complex infrastructure opportunities develop, often long before an RFP reaches the market. You’re likely to have built your career within Water, engineering consulting, infrastructure, client management, project leadership or business development, and you know how to translate relationships and market insight into genuine opportunities.
We’re looking for someone with:
A relevant degree is desirable, although we’ll also consider candidates with equivalent senior industry experience.
What will make you successful
You’ll be someone who is genuinely energised by the market and by building relationships.
You’ll be comfortable sitting across the table from senior Water industry leaders discussing their challenges, but equally comfortable working behind the scenes with technical teams to turn those conversations into a compelling pursuit strategy.
You’ll know when to pursue an opportunity, when to challenge our approach and when to bring other expertise into the conversation.
Most importantly, you’ll bring a client-first, commercially astute and collaborative mindset, with the credibility to influence both externally and across WSP.
What’s on offer
Joining WSP means having the opportunity to influence the future of our Victorian Water business while being supported by the scale, expertise and multidisciplinary capability of a global organisation.
You’ll benefit from:
Why this role?
This is a chance to take on a highly visible position with the ability to make a tangible impact on WSP’s growth across the Victorian Water market.
Rather than managing a large team, your focus will be where you can have the greatest impact: in the market, with our clients and around our most strategically important pursuits.
You’ll have access to multidisciplinary capability from across WSP and the opportunity to connect our Water clients with expertise spanning some of the most complex infrastructure and engineering challenges in the market.
If you know the Victorian Water sector, enjoy bringing people and ideas together, and thrive on turning relationships into successful projects, we’d love to hear from you.
